Counselling for adults in Henley-on-Thames, Reading and online.

Welcome

I’m Urvi, a qualified integrative counsellor providing culturally sensitive, compassionate and evidence-based long-term and short-term therapy to adults in Henley-on-Thames, Reading and online.

It is a great privilege to walk alongside people as they navigate life’s challenges. Having lived and worked in many different countries and cultures, I bring openness, curiosity, and sensitivity to each person’s unique story and background.

I work in partnership with you, offering support without judgement or agenda. Therapy with me isn’t about being told what to do. It’s an invitation to create a space where you can find your own way. Together, we’ll explore at a pace that feels safe and manageable, in a way that fits you.

I see clients in a warm and inviting space in the heart of Reading and Henley, or offer therapy online. I offer one to one therapy at flexible hours during the day, early mornings or evenings.

Considering Therapy ?

Change can come unexpectedly. Sometimes it arrives as a crisis. At other times, there’s a quiet sense that familiar coping methods aren’t working.

In a world full of advice from podcasts to social media to ChatGPT, it’s easy to wonder why you can’t just sort things out on your own. Many of my clients arrive doubting themselves and exhausted from trying to manage on their own.

You may wonder if therapy can help you.

That’s where therapy is different. And taking this big step can feel daunting at first. Research shows that having a safe and consistent space to talk can lower stress, lift one’s mood, and build resilience. Many people find that therapy not only eases immediate difficulties but also strengthens their ability to cope with future challenges.

With your courage and curiosity, therapy gives you a chance to pause, untangle what feels overwhelming, and be supported in a way that’s tailored to you. It’s a space to talk, be heard and make sense of your own journey/story in a professional relationship.

You don’t have to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. It can help you strengthen your emotional well-being, deepen your self-understanding, and open up possibilities for personal growth and change.
